New York City - Expedia, Inc, and the United Nations Foundation in collaboration with the UNESCO World Heritage Centre approved new members to the World Heritage Alliance (WHA) in a ceremony held at the United Nations. The WHA initiative aims to raise awareness of World Heritage sites, encourage sustainable travel, and support local economic development. The forum provided an opportunity for the World Air League, United Nations Foundation and UNESCO World Heritage Centre to further the formation of their partnership to sponsor the World Sky Race.
