Dear Friends of the World Sky Race,

Masdar Institute of Science and Technology will be hosting a lecture on Lighter-than-Air (LTA) aviation technologies on 28 May 2014 at the Masdar Institute Auditorium.

Don Hartsell, Commissioner and Managing Director of the World Air League will be delivering the lecture. The World Air League is arranging the World Sky Race in 2016 that will challenge airships and zeppelins to compete in the skies around the globe.

Hartsell’s lecture will focus on the advantages of LTA systems and how they can be used to tackle modern-day challenges such as consumption of fossil fuels and their impact on climate change.
